Consultation arrangements

This page contains details of arrangements for members of the public to comment on specific policy proposals for which the AAT is responsible.

The AAT undertakes consultation about proposals for changes to its case management processes. Details of proposed changes are sent to regular users and other key stakeholders for comment. They will also be made available on this page.

Members and staff of the AAT hold liaison meetings with users of the AAT and other stakeholders. Meetings may involve representatives of government departments, agencies and other organisations whose decisions are reviewed by the AAT, legal practitioners and other persons who appear regularly before the AAT, including representatives of community legal centres, legal aid bodies and veterans' representative groups and other representative bodies. Liaison meetings provide an opportunity for the AAT to seek feedback from users in relation to its operations generally and also in relation to specific proposals for change.
